About us
Coming from different backgrounds, we bonded over our common love for animals, in particular, cats. Having cared for animals and pets most of our lives, we realised the lack of dedicated and specialised accommodations for our cats when we travel.
And because we are cat people, we understand that some cats may be stressed in new surroundings. Therefore, we decided to create as comfortable an environment as possible so that your fur-kids can truly feel at home and enjoy their staycation with us. We are totally committed to reducing fear, anxiety and stress in your fur-kids while they are with us, and we will love them like our own.
We are the first and only Fear Free® certified cat hotel in Singapore.
Fear Free®
Incorporated in 2016 by “America’s Veterinarian”, Dr Marty Becker, and further developed by industry experts, the Fear Free movement reaches out to various stakeholders in the pet industry – from veterinarians, boarders, shelters to owners. The movement aims to raise awareness for the emotional well-being and welfare of pets. More importantly, it seeks to educate stakeholders on the importance and techniques to reduce Fear, Anxiety and Stress (FAS) in pets.
Catnap is led by two partners who are firm believers of the Fear Free movement, and one of our partners is a Fear Free® certified practitioner. We incorporate the Fear Free® principle into all aspects of Catnap: from design to space planning. Our staff are trained and equipped to identify FAS in pets and take steps to mitigate them.
